A female World Cup reporter blasted a harassing fan who tried to kiss her while she was broadcasting outside a stadium in Russia.
Julia Guimarães, a reporter with TV Globo and SporTV in Brazil, is the latest woman journalist to be sexually harassed at the sporting event.
Footage shows Julia in Yekaterinburg, before the Japan v Senegal yesterday, when a man attempts to kiss her on the cheek.
But the brave reporter dodges his advances and then berates him as he stands nearby.
She said: “Don’t do this. Never do this again, OK?”
The man replies: “I’m sorry, sorry, OK, OK.”
Julia continues: “I don’t allow you to do that, never. OK? This is not polite. This is not right.
“Never do this. Never do this to a woman, OK? Respect.”
She later revealed that this is the second incident in which a fan has tried to kiss her in Russia.
She told Globo Esporte that supporters have even chanted rude songs about her.
Julia said: “I’m experiencing it a lot in Russia.
“And it’s the second time something physical has happened, with a guy trying to kiss me.”
She added: “It’s awful. I feel helpless, vulnerable. This time I gave an answer, but it’s sad, people do not understand. “I wanted to understand why he thinks he has a right to do that.”
